Apparently we have a new Sky channel. I know this because an advert which asks the eternal question, 'what is style?' caught my attention today, and got me thinking. Not about watching this new channel (which is, of course, America's 'Style' channel), but rather about the question that the advert poses. In my opinion another advert got it right a long time ago - in the words of Thierry Henry, 'Is is joie de vivre, or je ne sais quoi?'.
And so I put it to you - What is style?
What does it mean?

An individual makes their own style-it can't be bought, you have to have the confidence to work it!
oh hard question, I think style is if you can are individual and if you can put some causal things to an great outfit together!

I think it's important for us to back to the basics and ask ourselves these questions. Often we get so caught up with blogs and magazines that we forget why we are even interested in fashion or style.
To me, style is confidence.

I could phisolophize about this question for hours.There are many factors that complete it but one of the main is this:Style is beeing yourself.
Hmm... this is a hard question but I'll just use my favorite fashion/style related saying and quote Richard Eberhart- "style is the perfection of a point of view". It's an outward projection of how you view the worlld and life.
Such an eternal question! I tend to think style is anywhere, whether it's intended or not. Often when I'm antiquing I see gorgeous style in some old, mundane object like a biscuit tin or something, when I'd bet the person who designed it years and years ago never would have thought I'd be using it as a permanent fixture in my house!
Hmmmm... tricky question, and eternal... but that's good to talk about it.

I think style has to do about what you do that is your mark, your statment.
