Gok's Fashion Fix

So, at 8pm tonight everything that I've been thinking (or rather obsessing) about will finally be here - Gok's Fashion Fix. Incase you've been living in a box and are somehow unaware, Gok Wan is arguably one of the most influential (and fabulous) men in the fashion world right now. He has worked with some of the world's most renowned photographers (Rankin, Mike Owen, Tony McGee, Jason Joyce and Arthur Elgot), had his work published internationally (Glamour, The Face, Cosmopolitan, Afisha Mir and People Magazine US), amassed an enviable celebrity client-base (Bryan Ferry, Vanessa Mae, Damien Lewis and All Saints to name a few) and consulted on a host of television shows including How to Look Good Naked, GMTV, BBC1's Battle of The Sexes and Richard and Judy. So, Channel 4, 8pm, tonight. (Then obviously you'll want to switch to 5 to watch House at 9 and Grey's Anatomy at 10! Oh what a night!)

So, in my excitement, I haven't really been able to come up with any new hot picks of the day, but instead have found you Gok's Hot Picks for the summer - enjoy!

GOK WAN'S 5 TOP TIPS FOR S/S 08

1. Ruffles and frills are massive for 2008 - perfect for those who have good pins but best to avoid if you are more pear shaped. I love this dress from New Look - it looks great with a high waist belt, taking it in slightly to perfect a more tailored look. It can be worn on its own or with jeans

2. High-waisted trousers are also going to be very big this season. Add a funky belt and this look will give the illusion of long, luscious legs!

3. Don't be afraid of florals, they can be cute and feminine. Try adding a floral patterned top over a pair of jeans and some funky and fun accessories

4. This spring/summer is all about bright colours - electric blue is going to be a 'must wear' colour, along with hot pink and vibrant yellow. Try these spanking pink skinnies from New Look, great with some flats or add some high-heels for a bit of spring glamour!

5. A great look for curvy shapes is a full length floaty dress which is one of 2008's biggest trends - these body skimming dresses with lengthen your figure

Oooooer I want to slip into those pink jeans. They're like cotton candy for the body.

I like him but I don't rate him as a stylist. All he ever does is stick a waist belt on people or a scarf.
A friend of a friend works with him and he is apparently lovely, as you would guess.
